Drumming Coach - $10k/mo

Drumming Coach - $10k/mo

He paid off his mortgage with this very... very interesting niche. This is the most niche, niche I've ever seen... but it still worked.

A client came to us wanting to grow his coaching business. He didn't need a $100k/mo business, he didn't even need a $30k/mo business. He wanted something that would pay off his mortgage and give him and his wife the financial freedom they craved.

The niche: Coaching Church Drummers How to Perform better at their Sunday service. Yes I am not kidding, if you ever say to me "my niche is to small" I will give you this example. Now obviously we had a few challenges with this one... Here's what we had to overcome:

  1. The Niche was EXTREMELY small
  1. There was no tangible ROI
  1. The Niche wasn't financially well off
  1. The messaging had to be near perfect
  1. It was hard to find people in the niche, let alone leads

So this one was truly a tough one...
but here's what we did to overcome these challenges and get to $10k/mo+

1 - Firstly, the messaging had to be absolutely fantastic. Being a better drummer at church meant that little Granny would give you a toffee candy after service and say "good job sport". So the incentive to be better wasn't very high.
We decided that we needed to focus on the opposite, and get his prospects running away from the pain of not being good enough.
We did this through stories. As our client went through the same challenges.
Ultimately everything this guy did and his clients did was in service to his church. So we used that within the messaging to showcase to people that everyone at the church wants you to be great, so let us help you.
The messaging and stories connected so well, we actually had a surplus of leads for a while there.
Remember this: "The quality of your stories, determines the quality (and quantity) of your clients"

2 - Now this was the tough part, getting eyeballs on our stories and content. As I said we had a surplus of leads for a while, but that wasn't always the case.
We created a community for these people, not always the best bet, but in this case it was. We invited people to the community every day through ads, DMs and then we'd encourage members to invite friends, so every member we got = 3 more members.
This grew the community at a steady pace. Once they were inside they received a lot of value and saw that our client was the man to help them.
This strategy can work today, but without the community side, you can simply use your profile if done correctly.
Again this only worked because the messaging was dialed in, which is the step MOST miss...

3 - Conversion... yeah a lot easier to sell a "let me help you scale bro" then a "Let me help you be a better drummer.. at church.. bro?" offer.
This is where we heavily utilized DMs. Our client had a high G.A.S factor, which is something we believe everyone must have... (G.A.S = Give a sh*t)
So we leveraged that by getting people into the DMs, he had a well developed script and process. He tactically sent content that would break limiting beliefs and demonstrate he was the man for the job.
He truly cared about his clients, and he NEVER said the words "Oh they're just tire kickers". He believed everyone could make it... which isn't always the case, but his belief transferred to his prospects, which made his process work.
We would then get them on to a call... and this is where the magic actually happens...

4 - Most people once a call is booked think the job now falls on the sales person or if it's you the sales call.
I however believe that once a call is booked, that's your biggest opportunity to make the sale a foregone conclusion.
So we created a "sales experience" where the prospect was tagged in testimonials (because people check notifications), then sent a pre-call video training, that came with a PDF because most don't watch that training, but they'll skim.
And we qualified them further in the DMs to make sure they were a fit. Which built rapport and ensured we didn't waste time on calls.

5 - The last thing we worked on was having a proper sales system in place. Meaning KPIs, CRMs and Follow up cadences.
Record months are a result of your warm leads converting to hot at the right time, and your cold leads turning warm.
Meaning the more warm leads you stack the better your future will be. So once we started nailing follow up, things started to take off...
Again, we didn't do anything magical here. It was fundamentals, tracking and great messaging. Which as I always say is the key to growing your business... not some shiny new TikTok strategy.

If you have a normal niche, then cool this will be a little easier. If you have an abstract niche, then cool I know this can work. If you want the support, systems and training to get to the next level whatever that looks like for you... cool I know we can help.
