Ecom Agency - $50k/mo

This guy paid me and instantly regretted it…
 
I woke up to a 6-Minute long panic ridden voice message
 
If you have a client based business, you know a 6-minute voice note first thing in the morning is never a good thing
 
This client runs an Ecom Agency, specifically for UCG. His goals were to hit $30k/mo.
 
After one conversation with him, I knew that he was aiming to low
 
The business was solid, built by 2 hard working founders. The challenges were:
 
  1. Manual Hand-to-hand combat outreach strategy
  1. Margin getting eaten up by UCG creators and team
  1. Consistency, focus and systems to support
 
Now, what did this 6-minute voice message say… obviously a lot, but the gist of it was:
 
“Jason, we need to get into momentum, sales are slowing”
 
Now this was 2-weeks into working with me, so obviously not a message I was to pleased with. But one I knew I could handle, here was the plan and what I said to him:
 
When any sort of panic sets in with your business the first thing you need to do is take a breath and assess where the panic is coming from and then create a plan of action. Only base that plan on what you can control, your focus should be the inputs not the outcome.
 
I said: “Ask yourself, who the F*ck has my money?”
 
We created a quick plan to follow up old leads, outstanding invoices, and clients on the fence.
 
The next day this client told me he closed a deal which he had been waiting on for a while, and the following day he closed another 2 clients… so the panic was gone.
 
I don’t expect, nor plan for results to happen that fast but they can, however we couldn’t rely on throwing stuff at the wall, we had to create a real plan.
 
That plan consisted of 3 key elements:
 
  1. KPIs and Accountability
  1. Consistency and Focus
  1. Margin and Expenses
 
We set up clearly defined KPIs, and I told this client to just hit the numbers every day, and you’ll notice the difference next month. I said stay consistent and do not miss a day. Then track your expenses like your life depended on it and delete anything that doesn’t serve you.
 
We obviously worked on DM strategy, funnel, content etc. but the focus was mostly on the basics.
 
A few months go by, I get on a call with this client… We’re at $50k/mo now….
 
I was happy, but not surprised as these guys work their ass off and consistency is now their middle name.
 
The thing is, building a biz takes time, focus and consistency. You have to measure your inputs and focus on them daily, which eventually leads to the outcomes you desire…
 
This client recently renewed and our focus is now to get to $100k/mo by the end of the year… which I see as a foregone conclusion for them….
 
This client joined the Inner Sanctum in September of last year, then upgraded to the Partnership in January…
