Startup Szn - Entry 2.0

I’m doing something a little new… You may be confused…

If you didn’t notice already, my content has been a little all over the place.

While not ideal, it’s for good reason and for a specific purpose.

Several years ago, Chris and I had an idea to create something big, we bought the domain names, we started setting up the content, branding etc. Then we ran into a few issues…

The first being cash flow, we were trying to start something that was months away from making any real money. The second being we had no idea how to code, develop or make anything other than a basic funnel.

So we had to put our plans on the shelf for a while. About 6 months ago I started toying with the idea again, playing around with things until I finally got something working. I decided I’d spend a few weeks outside of my normal working hours building this thing so that when I presented it to Chris he was ‘bought in’.

I got obsessed with A.I. and it’s ability to help develop my ideas into reality. After a few weeks I had a viable ‘MVP’ to present… it’s funny I expected this convo to go horribly:

“Hey Chris I have an idea” - Me

“F*ck sake another one… what is it this time?” - Chris

Instead he was fully bought in and onboard, because it’s been our mission for a long time. So we began developing this thing further and further. It got complicated, it got to big and my ideas did run wild. So we dumped 80% of the stuff and decided to keep it simple.

Now while I’m building these apps, I’m still coaching and consulting my clients, in fact I’m signing more clients than ever, even though I’m spending less time creating content and engaging. Kind of a HUGE testament to what we have built and further proof you should work with us ;)

Coaching is something I will ALWAYS do. I see so many great coaches (or maybe just great marketers) “retire” or “quit” coaching. For me I will never do that, I love it, I’m great at it and I love working with people!

Anyway, we decide to launch our ‘beta’. We get 200+ people on a waitlist, we send it to them hoping to get 10 sign ups, it took a few days but we got there.

We had a few errors reported, but nothing major, we fixed them and moved on to beta round 2. We wanted another 15 or so people, again it took a few days but we got there.

During that time, we discovered an issue our clients were facing, so we built a solution for that to. Launched that and got 10 clients on it to beta test to.

Now that app is being developed to, so we’ve gone from no apps to 1 to 2 in the span of a few months. A pretty wild thing to do, especially because we already have a business producing $50k/mo+ while these apps are producing maybe $4-$5k/mo.

But we’re enjoying the journey of building this and these apps compliment what we’re already doing vs. disrupt it.

Right now my focus is making these apps great, enrolling great clients for our consulting and then marketing our apps as much as possible.

I believe the best way to do that is by documenting the things we’re working on both in our consulting business and our apps.

So I’ll be doing that from now on… 3-5x week. I’m excited for the direction we’re going and I’m excited to keep building this all out.

I’ll be breaking down each offer we have and the functions of the apps over the next few days.

Appreciate you reading this and I hope we can serve you in some capacity very soon.

Much love,

Papa Fox
